Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd is seeking an experienced IT Hardware Asset Manager to own the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware assets and lead the rollout of ServiceNow HAM Pro. You will improve governance, ensure auditable records, and collaborate with Technology, Finance, Procurement and suppliers.

The role is based at Asda House in Leeds with on-site presence three days per week, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Hardware Asset Management or IT Asset Management.
• Experience managing hardware assets within a large and complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of hardware lifecycle management and asset governance.
• Experience improving processes, controls and data quality.
• Experience supporting audit, compliance and risk management activities.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across both technical and business teams.
• Experience working with ServiceNow HAM Pro or a similar enterprise asset management platform.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to reduce costs through improved asset utilisation and reuse.
• Produce reporting and insights to support decision-making.
• Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to embed best practice.
• Provide day-to-day oversight of third-party asset management support resources.

We're looking for an experienced IT Hardware Asset Manager to join Asda and take ownership of a newly created role at a really exciting point in our asset management journey. As part of a major investment in ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM Pro), you'll have the opportunity to help design, implement and embed new processes, controls and ways of working across a large and complex technology estate. This isn't a role where you'll simply inherit established processes. We're looking for someone who can bring fresh thinking, challenge the status quo and help us build a best practice hardware asset management capability from the ground up. Working closely with Technology, Service Management, Finance, Procurement and our third party partners, you'll be responsible for improving asset visibility, strengthening governance and maximising the value we get from our technology investments. This role requires on-site presence at Asda House in Leeds three days per week. We're really looking forward to having you around!

What You'll Be Doing

• Owning the end to end lifecycle of IT hardware assets across the business.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with a strong Hardware Asset Management background who enjoys creating structure, driving improvements and embedding new ways of working. You'll ideally have:

• Significant experience in Hardware Asset Management or IT Asset Management.
• Experience managing hardware assets within a large and complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of hardware lifecycle management and asset governance.
• Experience improving processes, controls and data quality.
• Experience supporting audit, compliance and risk management activities.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across both technical and business teams.
• Experience working with ServiceNow HAM Pro or a similar enterprise asset management platform.

Nice to Have

• Experience implementing or enhancing Hardware Asset Management tooling and processes.
• ServiceNow experience, particularly within Hardware Asset Management.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• ServiceNow CSA or CIS-HAM certification.
• Experience working within a large retail, logistics or multi-site environment.
• ITAM certifications such as CHAMP, CSAM or CITAM.
