Job summary

ECS Resource Group is seeking a Senior Consultant in Apigee Delivery to design, build and support secure, scalable API capabilities using Apigee X on Google Cloud. The role is remote with occasional visits to London, and you will own hands-on delivery across API engineering, security, connectivity and CI/CD.

You’ll work with platform, application, network and security teams, develop proxies, policies and environment configurations, implement OAuth 2.0/OIDC/JWT/mTLS, and automate deployments with

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on commercial experience delivering and supporting Apigee X.
• Strong knowledge of API proxies, policies, shared flows, API products, KVMs, target servers and environments, with API security knowledge including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT and mTLS.
• Experience with Apigee policies such as OAuthV2, VerifyAPIKey, AssignMessage, ServiceCallout, SpikeArrest and Quota.
• Experience automating Apigee X and GCP configuration using Terraform and APIs.
• CI/CD experience using GitHub, Harness, Jenkins, Cloud Build or similar.
• Good understanding of GCP networking, DNS, IAM, service accounts, TLS and private connectivity.
• Linux scripting or development skills in Python, Bash, JavaScript or Node.js.
• Experience with Apigee migrations, GKE, Cloud Run, Istio/Anthos Service Mesh, Backstage, Dynatrace, Google Cloud Operations or ServiceNow would be advantageous, as would previous experience within a highly regulated environment.

• Working collaboratively with application, platform, architecture, security, network and SRE teams.

Are you an experienced Apigee consultant with strong hands-on experience designing, configuring and supporting enterprise API platforms?

We're looking for a Senior Consultant in Apigee Delivery to join a major technology programme, taking hands-on responsibility for building, testing and supporting secure and scalable API capabilities using Apigee X and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

This role will suit someone comfortable working across API engineering, security, connectivity and CI/CD, who can troubleshoot complex integrations and work closely with platform, application, network and security teams.
