Job summary

Emplyfy, an established UK MSP, is seeking an IT Engineer to join a fast-paced team. You will act as the first contact for customers, troubleshoot on-site and remotely, manage incidents, and maintain hardware/software while ensuring SLAs are met. A minimum of five years in a similar role with Office 365 and Azure experience is required.

The role offers a salary of £30,000–£40,000 with 40 days of paid holiday and opportunities to work across diverse client environments in the Wokingham area.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a similar IT support/engineer role.
• Experience configuring and implementing Cyber Essentials and GDPR security standards.
• Proficient with Office 365 Cloud services (Email, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
• Azure administration and implementations experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for customers.
• Attend customer sites to troubleshoot and perform maintenance.
• Manage incidents and requests through the Service Desk Tool.
• Keep customers updated on cases per SLAs and escalate as needed.
• Review daily priorities and take necessary actions to achieve results.
• Monitor site integrity, usage, revisions and reporting to meet business requirements.
• Install, test, maintain and repair hardware and software.
• Document processes and record tickets for outstanding work.
• Manage high-priority incidents on-site and off-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for customers.

• Attend customer sites as required to troubleshoot and resolve problems or issues, and carry out scheduled maintenance.

• Manage incoming incidents and requests through the Service Desk Tool.

• Keep customers updated on their cases in accordance with Service Level Agreements.

• Escalate high-priority matters to Management when required.

• Review daily priorities and take the necessary action to achieve results.

• Monitor the integrity and status of customer sites, including usage, revisions, views and reporting, while ensuring customer business requirements are maintained to the highest standard.

• Install, test, maintain and repair hardware and software.

• Document processes and record tickets for outstanding work.

• Manage high-priority incidents both on-site and off-site.

At least 5 years' experience in a similar role, with experience in:

• Configuring and implementing Cyber Essentials and GDPR security standards (mandatory)

• Office 365 Cloud (Email, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) (mandatory)

• Intune and RMM and Telephone platform experience

• Network Infrastructure maintenance and installations (Routers, Switches, AP's, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, Firewalls, VLAN's)

• Ability to proactively support and collaborate with service providers.

• Follow industry best practices processes.

• Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022 (Group Policies, Security Policies etc)

• Azure administration and implementations

• Good understanding and knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11 and Mac

• Familiar with different client builds/imaging.

• Strong customer support, written and verbal communication, and be a team player.

• Ability to problem-solve independently.
