Job summary

Education Support Professionals Ltd is seeking an Education experienced ICT technician to support schools and a MAT client in the greater Nottinghamshire region. The role is three days per week on-site, with additional remote support for other sites and home offices.

Car ownership is essential as travel is required; support will be largely client-facing with remote guidance from an IT Operations Manager and account managers. 1st/2nd line duties and education software knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience providing 1st and 2nd line IT support, preferably in education settings.
• Proficiency with Windows server, devices, DNS, DHCP, 365, Azure and Entra.
• Familiarity with education-specific software and processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide mainly 1st and 2nd line IT support for schools and a MAT client.
• Support Windows Server, networks and education software across multiple sites.
• Progress IT projects and work with colleagues remotely and on-site.

Job description

Education focused IT company, with over 20 years in operation supporting schools and colleges across the UK is looking for an Education experienced ICT technician.

The role is largely to support a MAT client in the greater Nottinghamshire region 3 days per week, with additional support of other schools and the company’s offices in the west midlands on the other days, as well as the opportunity for some remote IT helpdesk support of the same at home.

A car owner is essential for this IT technician role, with expenses when not in the main site.

Largely a business‑as‑usual role, and very much client facing, this would suit someone with the confidence to work independently but with the remote support of an IT Operation Manager, account managers and other colleagues.

Responsibilities and experience required:

• 1st and 2nd line IT support experience, primarily in Windows server, devices, DNS, DHCP, 365, Azure, Entra etc.
• Knowledge of education specific software and processes is also essential, whether that is from working directly in a school IT team or via another education focussed business.
• Opportunity to progress within the business, including IT projects.
