Menzies LLP is seeking an experienced IT Director to lead its technology function at an exciting growth stage. This broad, influential role shapes technology strategy, leads a seasoned team and partners with Partners and senior leaders to evolve the Firm’s technology landscape.

You will oversee a secure, resilient environment and drive innovations in AI, automation and emerging tech, translating opportunities into tangible business value while safeguarding operations and client service.

We’re looking for an experienced IT Director to lead our technology function at an exciting point in Menzies’ growth.

This is a broad and influential role with the opportunity to shape our technology strategy, rather than simply inherit an existing roadmap. You’ll lead an established team and work closely with Partners and senior leaders to ensure our technology continues to evolve with the Firm.

Alongside responsibility for a secure, resilient and effective technology environment, we want someone who can look ahead. You’ll help us explore how AI, automation and emerging technologies can improve how we work, support our people and clients, and create genuine business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver our technology strategy and future roadmap.
• Lead the IT function across infrastructure, applications, cyber security and operations.
• Partner with senior leaders to identify where technology can enable growth, efficiency and better ways of working.
• Drive innovation, including the practical application of AI, automation and emerging technologies.
• Lead technology transformation and major change programmes.
• Develop our technology team, suppliers and external partnerships.
• Oversee technology investment, governance, risk and operational resilience.
• Support the Firm’s continued growth, including acquisitions and integrations.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• You may already be an IT Director, or you could be an experienced Head of IT or Technology looking for the opportunity to take on a broader leadership role.
• You’ll bring strong technology leadership experience, ideally gained within professional services or another complex organisation, alongside a good understanding of infrastructure, cloud, applications and cyber security.
• More importantly, you’ll be able to think strategically and commercially. You’ll have experience delivering transformation, influencing senior stakeholders and translating technology opportunities into practical business outcomes.
• We’re particularly interested in someone who is curious about what comes next and understands the opportunities presented by AI, automation and emerging technology, without losing sight of security, resilience and operational excellence.
