Job summary

Marks Sattin is seeking an IT Director to lead technology strategy, governance, security and service delivery. You will own the end-to-end IT agenda, balancing hands-on leadership with digital change to align technology with business priorities.

You will work with senior stakeholders to translate goals into a clear technology roadmap and measurable improvements across systems, data and ways of working. The role requires senior IT leadership and strong commercial acumen.

Qualifications

• Senior IT leadership experience.
• Strong grasp of IT service management, infrastructure, cloud services, end-user computing and enterprise applications.
• Practical experience leading cybersecurity and information governance in a regulated or risk-sensitive setting.
• Track record of delivering digital change (systems implementation, process improvement, automation, data/MI).
• Strong commercial capability: budgeting, procurement, supplier management and contract negotiation.
• Able to influence senior stakeholders, set priorities, and balance strategic delivery with operational reliability.

Seeking an IT Director to lead technology strategy, governance, security, and service delivery.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring technology is secure, resilient and aligned to business priorities, while improving user experience and enabling operational efficiency.

You will own the end-to-end IT agenda, balancing hands-on operational leadership with longer-term digital change. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will translate business goals into a clear technology roadmap and deliver measurable improvements across systems, data and ways of working.

Key areas of accountability include:

• Technology strategy & governance: Define and deliver a multi-year technology strategy, operating model, standards, and project portfolio with clear benefits.
• IT operations & service delivery: Ensure reliable infrastructure, end-user computing, core business systems and support processes; drive continual service improvement.
• Cybersecurity & information governance: Lead security controls and risk management, ensuring appropriate handling of sensitive data and strong third-party assurance.
• Business continuity & resilience: Maintain effective backup, disaster recovery and continuity plans with tested recovery priorities.
• Enterprise systems & transformation: Lead selection, implementation, integration and optimisation of enterprise applications; reduce manual processes and improve data/MI.
• Programme delivery: Manage delivery governance, budgets, risks and adoption to embed sustainable change.
• Commercial & supplier management: Own IT budgets, procurement, contract negotiations, and supplier performance (including managed service partners where relevant).
• Leadership: Build and develop a capable IT team with clear accountability, customer focus and delivery discipline.
