Job Introduction
Position: IT Business Analyst
Location: Wiltshire (SP3 4RS)
Hybrid Working: 2 Days Per Week On Site
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 Hours Per Week

About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Analyst to join our team. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to assess needs, advise on process and IT service improvements, and ensure solutions meet business requirements. You will also play a key role in developing and implementing IT service improvements, evaluating solutions, and supporting project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess needs and current processes, advising on improvements.
- Identify, analyze, document, and prioritize requirements using approved tools and techniques.
- Work with solution architects and IT experts to evaluate options ensuring they meet requirements.
- Assess IT services and solutions for projects, providing advice on methods, costs, risks, and benefits.
- Assist in developing and reviewing business cases for IT changes and projects.
- Support the Project Manager and work with software development teams to ensure requirements are met.
- Advise on implications of new initiatives, projects, and changes to IT services.
- Provide business analysis expertise to deliver requirements from process, user, and system perspectives.
Secondary Duties:
- Lead small to medium projects following IT project management processes.
- Produce and undertake system testing, documenting results.
- Assist with the introduction of new IT services, providing guidance and training.
- Define and share Business Analysis best practices.
Ideal Candidate:
Essential Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Experience as a Business Analyst.
- Strong stakeholder management and interviewing skills.
- ISEB Foundation in Business Analysis or equivalent.
- ISEB Certificate in Requirements Engineering or equivalent.
- Proficiency in requirements modeling (e.g., UML, User Story mapping).
- Experience with project and agile methodologies.
- Experience working with software developers and using Kanban boards.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience in Software Testing, especially UAT.
What You Can Do:
- Experience in facilities/asset management and on-site work orders.
- Strong business acumen and technological skills.
- Skilled in structured problem solving and communicating solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience in a modern, cloud-first organization.
- Ability to identify and evaluate processes, measure outcomes, and work towards an MVP.
- Investigate problems and analyze options for products.
- Analyze current products and processes, and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Apply digital understanding to work and implement digital solutions.
- Elicit requirements and manage change requests.
- Build and manage stakeholder relationships, explaining decisions with evidence.
- Identify and engage users or stakeholders to gather needs and translate into outcomes.
