Job summary

Deloitte UK is offering an Industrial Placement in IT Audit for penultimate-year students who want to test their skills in real-world audits. You will work with IT audit and financial audit teams, applying university learning to tackle complex problems from day one.

The 12‑month placement provides induction, buddy support, and exposure to a range of organisations, with a hybrid UKwork model and potential graduate pathway for high performers.

Qualifications

• Must be on track to achieve a predicted degree classification of 2:1 or above in any discipline.
• You must also be in the penultimate year of your course.

Responsibilities

• Stakeholder management: Working in teams and building relationships both within the IT specialist team as well as financial audit and beyond.
• Risk Assessment: Identifying and evaluating risks associated with company’s use of technology
• Control Testing: Assessing IT controls design and perform testing of implementation and operating effectiveness to provide assurance on smooth operation of controls throughout the review period.
• Communication: Build effective working relationships across IT audit team, financial audit team, and the companies we audit, to support the delivery of high-quality audits.
• Reporting: Communicate findings clearly and concisely, contributing to audit documentation, reporting, and stakeholder discussions.
• Innovation: Contributing to the continuous improvement of our audit processes, enhancing efficiency and providing greater insights to the companies we audit.
