Job summary

Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Digital is offering an Apprentice IT Asset Manager role. You'll learn IT Asset Management processes while working on software and hardware assets, gaining hands-on experience and a Level 3 Digital Support Technician apprenticeship.

You'll receive formal learning time during work hours, support from a line manager and apprenticeship team, and the chance to build practical experience that supports your long-term career in digital services.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship to Level 3 Digital Support Technician.
• Formal learning time during working hours to complete the qualification.
• Be eligible to work in the UK for the full apprenticeship duration.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow IT Asset Management processes for software and hardware.
• Identify, track, and report technology assets across a large organisation.
• Support renewals with lower-risk software publishers to ensure value for money.
• Use tools to capture, maintain and report asset information.
• Contribute to asset management baselines and data quality.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and manage expectations.
• Carry out routine maintenance and housekeeping to keep data accurate.
• Learn to identify risks and escalate as needed.
