Job summary

Computacenter is seeking an Inventory Controller to manage IT equipment lifecycle, including receipt, storage, deployment, return and disposal, in line with processes, security requirements and service levels. You’ll safeguard inventory accuracy and support day-to-day service delivery while ensuring assets remain secure and fully accountable.

You’ll work in London (Hybrid-Working) on a permanent basis, handling stock checks, asset queries and audits with Service Management and technical teams,

Qualifications

• Experience in IT asset management, stock control, logistics, stores or desktop technology.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and data reconciliation.
• Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
• Good knowledge of IT hardware and desktop technology.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to SLAs.
• Understanding of asset accountability, inventory control and data security.
• Flexible, proactive approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the receipt, storage, allocation, deployment and return of IT equipment
• Maintain accurate asset and inventory records
• Carry out stock checks and investigate discrepancies
• Monitor stock levels and ensure equipment is available for service requirements
• Manage secure dispatches, returns and vendor repairs
• Assess equipment for redeployment, repair or end-of-life disposal
• Ensure all assets are handled securely and in line with data protection requirements
• Respond to asset queries and work with Service Management and technical teams
• Highlight asset discrepancies, security concerns and process issues
• Support audits and continuous improvement activities
