Berry Group in Cobham is offering an IT Apprentice position to learn cyber security, networking and systems administration with a dedicated mentor. You will support colleagues, set up devices and troubleshoot day-to-day IT issues while logging and prioritising tickets.

Working hours are 40 hours per week, Cobham base with travel across the group. In the first three months you’ll be based at Cobham and paired with a colleague for site visits; after six months you can visit sites independently as

Qualifications

• GCSEs and English/Maths requirements for entry.
• No higher-level qualification in similar subject allowed.

Responsabilités

• IT support: provide first-line support, log and prioritise tickets, troubleshoot routine issues and escalate when needed.
• Hardware and software: set up and deploy devices, install applications, maintain asset records.
• Network support: assist with monitoring and connectivity troubleshooting, learn about Wi-Fi, VPNs and network infra.
• Systems administration: support user accounts, backups, updates and maintenance under supervision.
• Cyber security: support monitoring and good security practices, report threats per procedures.
• Learning and documentation: complete apprenticeship coursework and maintain training portfolio.

Formation

3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+

GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+

Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject
