Job summary

South Yorkshire Sexual Violence Partnership (SYSVP) seeks an Independent Sexual Violence Advocate to deliver trauma-informed advocacy and support to adults who have experienced sexual harm. You will work flexibly with a team, provide case-managed 1:1 support, and progress clients through criminal justice processes while maintaining safeguarding and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the impact of sexual harm, including rape, child sexual abuse and exploitation
• Experience of planning and delivering 1:1 support with service users to address wellbeing needs
• Experience of safeguarding frameworks and working with multiple agencies
• Willingness to complete the ISVA development programme and apply learning

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional, practical support and advocacy to survivors of sexual harm
• Deliver 1:1 support and safety planning
• Maintain client records and manage caseload
• Attend multi-agency meetings and liaise with police, CPS and partners
• Support clients through criminal justice processes and witnesses services
