Job summary

Oxfordshire County Council is recruiting an Intensive Supervision & Surveillance (ISS) Practitioner to work with children and young people with complex needs. You will coordinate targeted timetables, liaise with families and partner agencies, and support risk management to prevent escalation within the youth justice pathway.

The role is full-time and county-wide, with some travel and occasional after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering support to children and young people with complex needs.
• Knowledge of youth justice, trauma and safeguarding principles is desirable.
• Ability to build trust with children, families and partner agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive, individualized supervision and support to children and adolescents.
• Collaborate with Youth Justice case managers to coordinate IS S timetables.
• Engage families to understand orders, manage risk and promote positive change.
• Develop opportunities across the community to support safe, constructive activity.
• Work flexibly, including evenings or weekends as required, including travel within the county.
