Job summary

Trailmix is seeking a Game Artist to join our New Games team on a two-month contract, supporting the creation of map and decoration assets for an original casual mobile game. You will focus on high-quality, detailed 2D assets for an expanding isometric world, building locations, decorations and map content that support narrative, progression and visual storytelling.

You’ll work with our art and design team and prep assets for Unity.

Qualifications

• Excellent 2D art, concepting and rendering skills.
• Experience creating environments, decorations or map assets for casual mobile games.
• Strong understanding of isometric perspective and construction.
• Ability to quickly understand and match an established art style.
• Fast, pragmatic production skills and the ability to deliver polished work to deadlines.
• Openness to using AI tools thoughtfully where they can help accelerate the production process.
• Unity experience is a plus.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating environment design, rendering and polished game-ready assets.

Responsibilities

• Creating polished 2D assets for an isometric game map.
• Concepting, designing and rendering buildings, environments, decorations, props and other world content.
• Developing assets that fit an established visual style and quality bar.
• Taking work from rough concept through to production-ready artwork.
• Preparing assets for implementation in Unity.
• Working closely with the internal art team, responding quickly to feedback and iteration.
• Using AI-assisted tools where appropriate to support ideation and production efficiency.
