Job summary

Cornerstone is seeking a kind and patient Personal Assistant to support my 4-year-old daughter in Inverurie. You will assist with mobility, push her pushchair when needed, supervise play, and accompany her on outings in the community.

She is mainly non-verbal and may display challenging behaviour at times, so calmness and patience are essential. Previous experience with similar needs and knowledge of Makaton are advantages.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with similar needs.
• Patient and able to remain calm with challenging behaviour.
• Experience with Makaton is advantageous.
• Personal care duties including nappies may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobility support and push chair as needed.
• Supervise play and accompany child on outings in the community.

I am looking for a kind and caring Personal Assistant to support my lovely 4-year-old daughter. She is a loving and affectionate child who enjoys spending time with adults. She loves playing outside, walk around the shops, sing and dance.

She has hypermobility and therefore requires support with mobility, including pushing her pushchair when needed. She is mainly non-verbal but uses some words to communicate. On occasion she can display aggressive or challenging behaviours, so patience and ability to remain calm are important. Previous experience with supporting children with similar needs and experience with Makaton would be advantageous. Personal care duties, including nappy changing will be required.

All training will be provided.

PVG scheme membership will be required
