Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a senior nurse to lead the Interventional Radiology (IR) Theatre team at the Aintree Hospital site. The role combines clinical leadership, governance, and service development in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee staffing, training and patient care pathways, participate in on-call duties and drive improvements across the IR service while supporting junior staff in delivery of high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse, current NMC registration OR Registered ODP, current HCPC registration
• Teaching and assessing qualification
• Post registration qualification
• Desirable: 1st level degree or studying towards
• Desirable: Diploma

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and professional leadership within the Interventional Radiology department and manage day-to-day service delivery.
• Lead workforce planning, rostering, annual leave, sickness management, recruitment and staff development.
• Oversee patient care in IR procedures, ensure safety, quality and patient experience; support junior staff.
