Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for an Administrative Band 3 booking officer role at Manchester Royal Infirmary. You will join a multi-skilled team responsible for IR imaging orders across cancer and non-cancer pathways, working on a rota across 7 days 8am-8pm to support timely patient care.

You will rotate across modalities, contribute to HIVE order checks, and ensure orders meet internal targets.

Qualifications

• Maths & English GCSE or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work effectively in a busy office environment.
• Organisational skills; ability to manage time.
• Experience in customer relations; face-to-face and telephone.
• Knowledge of NHS waiting lists and KPIs.
• Understanding of medical/radiology terminology.

Responsibilities

• On a rota basis to book and schedule IR imaging procedures.
• Validate orders against clinical indication; amend orders as needed.
• Discuss delivery times with referrers to reflect expected delivery timelines.
• Support training and day-to-day guidance within the team.
