Job summary

Itec in Cardiff is seeking a proactive Lead IQA to manage and develop a team of Assessors, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across all programmes. The role requires maintaining robust Internal Quality Assurance processes, driving continuous improvement and higher learner satisfaction.

You will supervise assessor planning, practice and review, report on performance to the Lead IQA, and collaborate with the Performance Manager to implement targeted improvements.

Qualifications

• Assessor and IQA qualifications required.
• In-depth knowledge of Apprenticeship programmes, IQA processes and assessment methods.
• Experience delivering training and supporting learners.
• Knowledge of Awarding Organisation requirements and Estyn inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of Assessors to ensure high-quality learning experiences.
• Ensure robust Internal Quality Assurance processes and continuous improvement.
• Monitor assessor performance and report to the Lead IQA; support development plans.
• Engage with workplace employers during the learning journey.
• Oversee IQA sampling, verification and reporting to meet standards.
