Job summary

Mind In Bexley Limited is seeking an Employment Specialist to support clients under Secondary Mental Health services in gaining and retaining paid employment. You will work within a clinical team, build rapport, assess individual vocational needs and create tailored action plans with care co-ordinators and other professionals.

The role involves liaising with employers, identifying opportunities in the local labour market, and using IPS principles to guide supported employment.

Qualifications

• Empathy with the needs of those who experience mental health difficulties.
• Strong communication skills with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to support clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of clients returning to paid work.
• Liaise with work and training providers, benefits advice, and provide ongoing support.
• Build links with local employers to identify job opportunities and negotiate placements.
• Provide IPS-based support and monitor client progress.
