Job summary

Get Set UK is seeking an IPS Employment Specialist to work with NHS clinical teams across Mid Essex to help people experiencing serious mental illness find and sustain paid work that reflects their goals and strengths.

You will manage a caseload, meet participants in community and clinical settings, build relationships with employers and support job starts and ongoing sustainment, while travelling daily across Mid Essex.

Qualifications

• Experience providing one-to-one advice or guidance to adults with evidence of helping people work towards clear outcomes.
• Ability to manage a caseload and maintain accurate records.
• Confidence communicating with clinicians, employers and participants.
• Full driving licence and reliable access to a vehicle for travel across Mid Essex.
• Ability to present recent employment history clearly, including gaps or short-term roles.
• Willingness to travel daily across Mid Essex.

Responsibilities

• Support people to find and sustain competitive paid employment.
• Complete vocational profiles and understand each person’s goals and job preferences.
• Support applications and interviews and help with disclosure and workplace adjustments.
• Engage with employers, including those not previously known to us.
• Travel across Mid Essex to meet participants and employer sites.
• Attend NHS clinical team meetings and coordinate with clinicians about wellbeing and risk.
