Job summary

Forward Trust is seeking an Employment Specialist to support people in North Kent Medway & Gravesham within the IPS framework. You will assess abilities, create personalised plans, and guide job seekers through CVs, applications, and interviews.

You will also coach individuals in group settings and help navigate barriers while connecting them to local employers. Travel across Medway and Gravesham areas will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering IPS or employability support is advantageous.
• Ability to work across communities and local employers.
• A valid UK driving licence is essential and access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to undertake IPS training provided by the employer.
• Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify participants' skills, strengths, and career goals.
• Create Vocational Profiles and tailored Action Plans.
• Support CV writing, job searching, applications, and interview prep.
• Deliver 1:1 and group coaching to boost confidence and employability.
• Help participants overcome barriers such as benefits, health disclosures, or workplace adjustments.
• Connect participants with local job opportunities and employers.
