Geely UK is seeking an IP Operations Manager to lead the formulation and execution of the company’s IP strategy, oversee corporate IP systems, and manage the full lifecycle of IP assets. You will coordinate with external IP agencies and ensure compliance across global markets.

The role involves drafting IP clauses for agreements, monitoring infringement, and supporting governance efforts, with hybrid working between Ansty/Coventry and remote locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, IP, Science, Technology, Business or related field.
• 3–5 years in intellectual property management or patent law.
• Experience with IP portfolio management, licensing, compliance and risk.
• UK automotive/tech sector IP knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Patent attorney certificates or IP qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation and execution of Geely UK IP strategy.
• Oversee establishment of corporate IP management systems and confidentiality protocols.
• Manage full lifecycle of IP assets and licensing risk control.
• Standardise IP licensing strategies and operational standards.
• Draft/review IP clauses for technical cooperation agreements.
• Monitor third-party IP infringement and support dispute resolution.
• Support Group/IP governance and internal risk inspections.
• Collaborate with external IP agencies for filing and maintenance.
