Job summary

Confidential, a specialist City law firm, seeks an experienced litigation paralegal to support disputes lawyers on a full IP range—patents, trademarks, copyright, designs, and related technology-driven commercial claims.

The role is hands-on from day one, involving direct client contact, court interactions, and collaboration with counsel. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in contentious IP, strong CPR knowledge, and excellent organizational and drafting skills.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a contentious IP paralegal role with cases followed through to trial.
• Solid grounding in CPR; hands-on drafting, issuing and filing court documents.
• Confidence dealing with the court, barristers' clerks and external counsel.
• Strong Excel skills; proficient in MS Office; able to build trackers and manage data.
• Experience with DMS and e-disclosure platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage live disputes side-by-side with fee-earners across all levels.
• Draft applications, witness statements, letters, consent orders and procedural paperwork for lawyer approval.
• Prepare chronologies, document summaries, case management reports and costs budgets.
• Carry out legal and factual research; gather evidence and take witness accounts.
