• Taking responsibility for IP drafting within deal documentation, as well as supporting standalone IP agreements such as assignments, licences, and collaborations.
• Advising on IP provisions and structuring within a wide range of commercial contracts.
• Applying IP expertise to assist clients in technically complex industries, delivering practical, commercially focused solutions that align with their strategic objectives.

The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be part of one of the largest departments in the London office and should have:
• Strong academic credentials.
• Solid transactional experience within an established Intellectual Property team at a respected law firm.
• Proven ability to handle complex matters within a comparable environment.
• A desire to work within a truly international law firm.
• A clear understanding of the structure and operation of a commercial law firm.
• A commitment to supporting the continued growth and development of the practice.

Key Skills & Expertise
• Strong knowledge of substantive IP law across all key rights.
• Excellent drafting skills across a range of IP-related documentation.
• Ability to identify and assess IP risks within transactions and provide commercially pragmatic advice on risk mitigation.
• High responsiveness and ability to perform under tight deal timelines.
• Experience managing aspects of complex IP matters, working closely with partners and other specialist teams.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with lawyers across different jurisdictions and practice areas.
• Strong business development acumen, with a willingness to contribute to client relationship management and new business opportunities.
• Commitment to continuous technical development and contribution to team training, knowledge sharing, and best practices.
