Job summary

Mobiltex, an IIoT and software company, is hiring a Technical Support Specialist in Newport, Wales. The role involves technical support, onboarding and training for customers, working with Service, Engineering, Sales and Product teams to deploy and optimise IoT solutions across energy and water sectors.

This early-career position offers hands-on learning with CorView and iCPSM platforms, with an initial office-based period followed by hybrid working, and occasional visits to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent
• 1-3 years in a customer-facing technical role
• Experience with electronics diagnostics, testing and repair
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites
• Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Onboard clients from initial deployment through to operational readiness
• Deliver structured training on IoT hardware deployment and software platforms
• Provide technical support across hardware, firmware and software
• Act as escalation point for complex issues
• Diagnose problems and identify root causes, workarounds and solutions
• Manage support tickets with responsiveness and clarity
• Communicate complex issues in understandable terms
• Drive customer satisfaction from first response to resolution
• Advise customers on deployment, monitoring and maintenance best practices
• Support key accounts with deeper technical engagement
