Job summary

Platform Recruitment seeks an experienced System Integration Engineer for a hands-on 12-month contract in Cambridgeshire, focusing on integration, testing and debugging of complex IoT products with embedded software, electronics and wireless communications.

You will define test plans, build test setups, perform hands-on testing and debug HW/FW/SW across RF and wired interfaces, collaborating with System, Hardware and Embedded Software Engineers. Hybrid role with two days in the office per week.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in multidisciplinary system integration HW/FW/SW.
• Experience debugging embedded systems and testing RF/wired protocols.

Responsibilities

• Define detailed test plans, test cases and test design documentation.
• Design and build physical test setups for system integration and validation.
• Carry out hands-on manual testing and produce detailed test reports.
• Debug complex embedded systems, with a focus on electronics and embedded firmware.
• Troubleshoot issues across multidisciplinary HW, FW and SW environments.
• Carry out protocol testing across RF and wired interfaces.
• Support technical investigations and failure analysis.
• Work with System Engineers, Embedded Software Engineers, Hardware Engineers and other Integration Engineers.
