Are you an experienced Diagnostic Radiographer with Radiation Protection supervisor experience looking for your next step in your career?
We are looking for an Ionising Radiation Safety Lead to join our Medical Imaging departments where you will work across our Colchester, Ipswich Hospital and community sites.
You will play a key role in providing a high quality, safe service to our patients where you will be the Radiographic Lead in the development, implementation, compliance and review of IRR policies and procedures within the Directorate. You will also co-ordinate research across both sites.
We are busy radiography departments carrying out a wide range of examinations. We are expanding due to recent investment with new units in our hospitals, including: Essex and Suffolk Elective Orthopaedic Centre, Urgent Treatment Centres and community diagnostics centres.
Our department supports its staff to pursue academic courses and develop their careers within a supportive and friendly environment. In addition you will be an effective senior member of the team and wider multi-professional healthcare team.
You will be an autonomous practitioner who will lead on IR(ME)R legislation and patient safety to contribute to the continuing development of radiology practice.
This post is 30-37.5 hours per week, however we can accept two part time radiographers to fill the hours
This post can be offered as a 12 months secondment.
