The opportunity and what makes Community Integrated Care a great place to work
Could you help ensure that people’s voices, experiences and ideas genuinely influence the services and decisions that affect their lives?
We are looking for an Involvement, Impact and Accessibility Specialist to create meaningful and accessible opportunities for people we support, families, loved ones and advocates to participate, contribute and shape change.
Working under the direction of our Senior Involvement, Impact and Accessibility Manager, you will lead and support engagement, co-production and accessible communication activities. You will help people share what matters to them and, importantly, see how their contributions have influenced decisions and improvements.
This role combines hands‑on engagement with creative content development, inclusive facilitation and practical improvement. You will help remove barriers to participation and make sure people can communicate and contribute in ways that work for them.
Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
You will work directly with people supported by Community Integrated Care, as well as their families, loved ones, advocates and circles of support.
This includes people with learning disabilities, autism, sensory impairments and complex communication needs. Some people may communicate non-verbally or use alternative and augmentative communication. Your work will help ensure everyone has the opportunity, adjustments and support needed to participate meaningfully.
As our Involvement, Impact and Accessibility Specialist, you will plan and deliver inclusive engagement and co-production activities. These could include surveys, forums, workshops, consultations, focus groups and listening events.
You will ensure engagement is delivered safely, ethically and responsibly. This includes maintaining clear records of consent, accessibility requirements, feedback and actions, and protecting people’s confidentiality, dignity and control over how their words, stories and images are used.
You will work closely with colleagues across Operations, Quality, Health, regional teams and Communications and Marketing. The role’s focus is involvement, co-production, accessibility and accessible information, working in partnership with communications colleagues on wider campaigns and organisational messaging.
Success will mean people can understand information, contribute in ways that suit their communication needs and see clear evidence that their views have shaped decisions. It will also mean colleagues have practical tools and support to make their everyday work more inclusive and accessible.
About you:
You will be a creative, organised and person-centred professional who is passionate about making information and involvement accessible to everyone.
You may bring experience from engagement, co-production, accessibility, communications, social care or another related area. Equivalent practical experience will be considered alongside formal qualifications.
Most importantly, you will be an exceptional listener who is patient, curious and comfortable adapting your approach. You will be reliable, approachable and committed to ensuring people retain choice, control and influence.
You will combine creativity with attention to detail and bring the integrity needed to protect people’s dignity, privacy and voice.
