Our client is a leading global multi-strategy hedge fund managing more than $80bn on behalf of pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, insurers and family offices. The firm combines rigorous research with disciplined risk management across its investment teams, and treats its investors as long-term partners.

The Investor Relations team is the firm's primary link to that capital base. It owns relationships with existing investors, supports capital raising, and shapes how the firm tells its story.

The role

The firm is hiring an Investor Relations Associate to help manage and grow relationships with its institutional investors. The Associate will work closely with senior IR professionals, portfolio managers and the firm's leadership, translating complex, multi-strategy investment activity into clear, compelling communication.

The firm is prioritising candidates from strategy and management consultancy backgrounds. The role rewards the skills consulting builds: structured thinking, polished client delivery, strong written and visual communication, and comfort presenting to senior audiences. Prior hedge fund or asset management experience is not required; a genuine interest in markets is.

Key responsibilities

• Investor communications: draft and produce monthly and quarterly investor letters, performance commentary, fund presentations and pitch materials.
• Investor meetings: prepare briefing packs for meetings, annual reviews and conferences; attend meetings alongside senior team members and own follow-ups.
• Due diligence: coordinate responses to DDQs, RFPs and operational due diligence requests, working with legal, compliance, risk and operations.
• Capital raising: support fundraising for existing and new funds, including pipeline tracking, prospect research and investor segmentation.
• Market and competitor insight: analyse allocator trends, peer positioning and fundraising data to inform the firm's IR strategy.
• Data and reporting: maintain the CRM and investor data, and build analysis of the investor base, flows and engagement for senior management.
• Projects: lead or support firm-wide initiatives such as new product launches, investor events and improvements to reporting.

The ideal candidate

• 4–5 years' experience at a leading strategy or management consultancy (for example MBB, Tier 2 strategy houses, or the strategy arm of a Big Four firm), ideally reaching Senior Consultant or Associate level.
• Excellent written communication: the ability to turn complex analysis into concise, persuasive narratives and client-ready slides.
• Confident, polished presence with senior, sophisticated clients.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Highly organised; able to run several workstreams to tight deadlines with great attention to detail.
• A clear, demonstrable interest in financial markets and investing.
• Strong academic record, with a degree from a leading university.
• Discretion and sound judgement with confidential information.
