Job summary

Legal & General is seeking an Investment Manager to join the Risk Sharing team in London. You will shape asset-backed solutions, analyse transactions and collaborate across groups to optimise the balance sheet and support the group’s strategic goals.

You’ll build financial models to evaluate opportunities, draft governance materials, and work with internal and external partners to originate and execute risk-sharing deals with banks, insurers, or asset managers.

Qualifications

• Experience in structured finance, fixed-income products or insurance.
• Strong ability to develop complex, dynamic financial models for debt or asset-backed investments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and delivering high-quality outcomes to deadlines.
• Collaborative approach with cross-team cooperation.
• Proficient MS Excel, with experience in modelling tools beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop asset-backed solutions by collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
• Build and enhance financial models to evaluate opportunities considering risk, return, capital and regulatory factors.
• Design solutions to optimise the portfolio’s risk profile and support investment performance.
• Draft governance materials and engage stakeholders to build support for new initiatives.
• Collaborate with Asset Management, Group Treasury, Finance, Legal, Risk and Tax to implement transactions.
• Strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support market engagement and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Originate, pitch, negotiate and execute risk-sharing transactions with third-party organisations.
• Demonstrate behaviours aligned with our values, prioritising fair customer outcomes.
