Job summary

Legal & General is seeking a Delegated Solutions Manager to join its Asset Management Delegated Solutions team. The role focuses on designing and implementing holistic portfolio solutions for institutional clients, leveraging L&G and third-party capabilities.

You will engage with trustees, perform risk analysis and portfolio construction, and develop proprietary tools, including Python coding. A strong background in pension environments and CFA/actuarial credentials are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of major asset classes, derivatives and LDI.
• Experience in investment strategy design, portfolio construction and risk analysis.
• Experience providing investment advice to institutional investors.
• Understanding UK defined benefit pension environment, risks, objectives and regulation.
• Structured, organised project management approach.
• Proven ability to deliver high quality numerical analysis.
• Ability to develop and improve investment tools, systems and processes.
• Python capability and an actuarial or CFA qualification, or progress towards one, would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Providing investment advice to trustees and officers of institutional clients
• Working with clients to understand requirements and deliver innovative solutions
• Checking that L&G can meet client requirements from contractual and regulatory perspective
• Supporting bespoke investment strategy analysis, risk modelling and portfolio construction
• Developing and maintaining proprietary investment tools and systems, including Python coding
• Communicating complex analysis and ideas clearly, in writing and verbally
• Understanding investment opportunities for each client and proposing implementation solutions
• Collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver bespoke client reporting
