Job summary

Finatal is seeking an Investment Manager/VP to lead acquisition and investment workstreams within a private equity/operating group in London. You will own opportunities from initial review through completion and oversee due diligence across commercial, financial, tax and legal aspects.

The role requires 5-8+ years of transaction experience, strong modelling/valuation skills and the ability to develop independent views on deal structure, risk and returns in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of transaction/investing experience
• Experience evaluating and executing acquisitions
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skillset
• Excellent organisational and project management skills
• Commercially minded with ability to challenge assumptions

Responsibilities

• Assess acquisition and investment opportunities from initial review through to completion
• Analyse management presentations, financial information and diligence materials
• Build and review integrated financial models, including downside/base/upside scenarios
• Develop independent views on valuation, EBITDA, cash generation, financing implications and returns
• Identify investment risks and value creation opportunities and challenge forecasts
• Prepare investment recommendations, briefing materials and presentations for senior stakeholders
• Lead due diligence across commercial, financial, tax, legal and operational workstreams
• Coordinate external advisers and manage transaction timelines and information requests
• Review diligence findings, SPAs and other documentation from a commercial perspective
• Assess management incentive arrangements, equity structures and governance rights
• Support negotiation and execution through to completion
• Support portfolio value creation initiatives and new service lines
• Prepare board and investor materials and provide ad hoc strategic analysis
