Job summary

Legal & General is seeking an Investment Manager to join the Risk Sharing team. You’ll shape asset‑backed solutions, structure transactions and build financial models to optimise balance sheet outcomes.

You’ll work across Asset Management, Group Treasury, Finance, Legal, Risk and Tax to drive high‑quality investments. You’ll originate, pitch and negotiate risk‑sharing deals with external partners while delivering governance materials and insights to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Finance, Computer Science) or Accounting/Management, or equivalent experience.
Experience in structured finance, fixed‑income products or insurance, ideally gained within a bank, insurer, asset manager or consultancy.
Skilled in developing complex, dynamic financial models for debt or asset‑backed investment analysis.

Responsibilities

Develop asset‑backed solutions with internal teams and external partners to share or distribute risk.
Build and enhance financial models to evaluate opportunities, incorporating risk, return, capital and regulatory considerations.
Design solutions that optimise the portfolio’s risk profile and support investment performance.
Draft governance materials and engage stakeholders to build support for new initiatives.
Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless implementation of transactions.
Strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support market engagement.
