Job summary

Legal & General (L&G) is a leading UK financial services group. The Investments team seeks a broad, influential professional to bring together investment analysis, insurance knowledge and stakeholder leadership.

You will work with Portfolio Management, ALM and Risk to assess new asset classes and strategic partnerships, translating complex investment ideas into well-supported decisions. You will join an environment that welcomes cross-functional collaboration and regulatory awareness, including

Qualifications

• Strong analytical judgement and the ability to evaluate complex opportunities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical subjects to varied audiences.
• Effective project management skills and evidence of delivering through others.

Responsibilities

• Supporting strategically important investment and business development initiatives.
• Developing new asset classes and alternative asset-sourcing channels.
• Originating and evaluating investment opportunities beyond established sourcing routes.
• Leading detailed due diligence across asset modelling, risk-return, capital, matching adjustment, P&L, ALM and hedging considerations.
• Assessing how potential investments fit within the wider portfolio.
• Establishing and managing effective relationships with external asset managers.
• Collaborating with Portfolio Management, ALM, Capital, Risk and wider business stakeholders.
• Managing the effective handover of completed projects to operational teams.
