Are you passionate about improving homes and communities? Do you have the vision and leadership to drive forward ambitious housing investment programmes?

We’re looking for an experienced and innovative Investment Manager to join our Building Services department and lead the delivery of high-impact projects that enhance the quality of life for our residents.

About The Role

As Investment Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in designing, procuring, and delivering a diverse portfolio of housing investment projects. These include internal and external home upgrades, energy efficiency schemes and roofing and window replacements. You will ensure our homes meet high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability—while keeping customer satisfaction and inclusion at the heart of everything we do.

You will also contribute to the strategic development of the Council’s Social Housing Asset Management Strategy and Housing Energy Efficiency Strategy, helping us meet our long-term goals for sustainable, high-quality housing.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end delivery of housing investment and improvement programmes.
Use data-driven insights to assess and enhance the quality of our housing stock.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Champion customer engagement and co-design in project development and evaluation.
Manage multi-disciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors.
Build strong networks across the Council, partners, and the wider housing sector.
Promote innovation and best practice in housing investment and energy efficiency.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
