This role will be an 18-month fixed-term contract, due to a permanent member of staff being seconded into another opportunity. The CA will consider applicants interested in pursuing this as a secondment opportunity.
We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Manager to join LCRCA’s Investment and Delivery Directorate as secondment cover. The successful candidate will help develop and invest in people, skills, business growth, and innovation projects. Recent activities include delivering a £44m pipeline for the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, working on Innovation Zones, and managing an ambitious pipeline of specialist business support.
We value candidates passionate about supporting the aims of the Combined Authority, who are self-starting, highly motivated, commercially minded, and willing to go the extra mile. Our team has diverse backgrounds including finance, legal, property development, management, and social economy, gained from both private and public sectors.
This role offers the opportunity to influence stakeholders, build strong relationships, and shape policy and delivery. Additionally, you will support team development through leadership, sharing best practices, training, line management, and process improvement.
Upcoming projects over the next 18 months include developing the CA’s longer-term investment strategy, partnership development, and preparing for Integrated Settlement. The role is varied, and experience in partnership development, strategy implementation, and project delivery is preferred. The ability to work independently is essential.
