Job summary

Inukapartners seeks an Investment Director for its Africa-focused private credit fund. The role centers on originating, structuring, executing and managing debt investments across agrifood and financial sectors in Africa.

You will lead investment screening, due diligence, and closing, while managing portfolio relationships and coordinating with co-investors and lenders. Fluent English is required; French/Portuguese are a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in private credit, debt investing, banking, or investment roles.
• Experience executing cross-border debt transactions.
• Knowledge of African agrifood value chains and/or banking sector.
• Strong credit analysis, structuring and stakeholder management skills.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Agribusiness or related discipline.
• Fluent in English; French or Portuguese advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Originate and execute private credit investments across Africa.
• Lead investment screening, due diligence, structuring and closing.
• Prepare investment papers and present opportunities to investment committees.
• Structure tailored debt and trade finance solutions.
• Manage portfolio relationships and monitor credit, compliance and impact performance.
• Work with co-investors, lenders and external advisers throughout transactions.
• Support investor reporting, fundraising and broader business development.

Requirements
