A high performing, multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund is looking to hire a Data Analyst into their rapidly growing centralised Data Management team.
Reporting to the Global Head of Data, this highly visible role involves working closely with Operations, Product Control, Risk, Trading, and Research teams to ensure smooth data transmission. The role has a technical/engineering focus, involving optimizing data pipeline operations and quality management, from raw data onboarding to delivery to front office/investment teams.
You will utilize your technical skills in languages such as SQL, Python, VBA, or Matlab to perform quality checks and identify anomalies within complex datasets. You will serve as the main interface between data sourcing and data engineering, acting as the point of contact for Traders.
Additional responsibilities include collaborating on ad hoc projects with front office and technology teams, testing new dataset onboarding platforms, setting data governance metrics, and assisting in developing a centralized data management platform.
Ideal candidates will have 2–7 years of experience as a Data Operations Specialist, Data Solutions Analyst, or Data Governance Analyst within a hedge fund, asset manager, or major data vendor. A strong academic background and experience with advanced coding languages for large dataset analysis are required.
The role offers a base salary up to £125K plus a performance-based bonus. Initially, a 5-day office week is expected, with the possibility of working from home 1-2 days per week once settled into the role.
