Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Investment Data Governance Manager to partner with Finance, Investments and the Data Office to drive data quality, governance and data product delivery. You will lead cross-functional initiatives and help define data ownership, standards and processes.

You will work with data custodians and external partners, support data owners, and chair governance sessions to maintain trust in data used by Investments and Finance teams.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Fixed Income financial instruments, Swaps and Derivatives and associated data.
• Awareness of Data Governance practices, policies and standards.
• Excellent communication skills with business stakeholders.
• Ability to build relationships across the organisation.
• Ability to analyse large volumes of data.
• Understanding of business and technology processes.
• Ability to read code to identify root causes of data issues.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, Data Management tools, MS Excel, Power BI, Cognos, and DQ analysis tools.
• Sound report writing, documentation and presentation skills.
• Experience in Financial Services, particularly financial securities/assets data.
• Experience with Investment Data Management platforms such as Finbourne’s Lusid.
• Familiarity with Data Comprehension practices and Data management solutions such as Solidatus, IDQ, and Collibra.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders across Finance, Investments, and the Data Office from an operational perspective
• Support the Investment Data Manager in maintaining continuous improvement, including automation, of existing data management practices
• Assist Data Owners and Stewards with business-as-usual processes to define and manage data
• Work with data custodians across IT and external technical partners to deliver and manage data
• Participate in analysis and design initiatives to deliver Investments Data Products
• Build on Investment Data Quality processes to maintain and enhance trust in data delivered to Investment and Finance functions
• Chair an Investment Data Working Group session on behalf of the Head of Data Governance
• Manage annual forward planning, agenda setting, and facilitation of pre-IDWG sessions
• Maintain IDWG governance artefacts and delivery discipline, including the IDWG wiki and documentation
• Produce and distribute minutes, track actions to completion, and follow up with stakeholders
