Job summary

Scope AT Limited is recruiting an Investment Banking C++ Developer to join the eTrading/low latency team in Central London on a contract basis.

You will design and implement high-performance Linux systems, work across infrastructure, product, and Front Office, and contribute to pricing and real-time risk components.

Hybrid work arrangement with an initial 12-month term inside IR35; strong C++ expertise and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• C++ knowledge incl. STL/Boost and Linux development.
• Experience in system, network, or low-latency programming.
• Linux development with gcc, gdb, git and debugging tools.
• Knowledge of software design, development, and deployment.
• FX products pricing and real-time risk knowledge desirable.
• Experience with scalable, HA distributed architectures.
• Messaging protocols: TCP/UDP/multicast.
• SQL basics (DDL) and data encoding.
• Excellent communication with business stakeholders.

Investment Banking C++ Developer - eTrading/low latency/Linux/FX/pricing - CONTRACT

Our Investment Banking client is looking for a C++ Developer for a contract role (initial 12 months)

A successful candidate is expected to:

• Design, build and implement low latency systems in our eTrading platform.
• Work with teams spread across infrastructure, product development, support, test, and the Front Office
• Participate in eTrading product requirements gathering

Qualifications

• C+/17/20/23 skills, knowledge of the STL, experience of the Boost libraries is highly desirable.
• Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable: system, network, or low latency programming
• Development on Linux using gcc, gdb, git and associated debugging tools.
• Knowledge of all aspects of software design, development, and deployment.
• Working knowledge of FX products, pricing, and Real Time risk management is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of the design of scalable, high availability, supportable distributed architectures.
• Working knowledge of messaging and communication protocols including TCP, UDP, multicast, and data encoding
• Working understanding of SQL and simple DDL operations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to interact with business representatives.
