Job summary

Metis Search, a leading advisory firm, is seeking a Senior Analyst or Associate to join its Materials team in London. You will work on high-profile cross-border M&A in Metals & Mining, Chemicals, Building Materials, and related industrial materials, building financial models, analysing markets, and preparing client presentations.

You will collaborate with senior bankers and advisers in a fast-paced, meritocratic environment.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years’ experience in investment banking.
• Strong technical foundation in financial modelling and valuation.
• Demonstrated experience across live M&A transactions.
• Strong analytical and commercial judgement.
• Clear and confident communicator able to work in a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of M&A transactions across the Materials sector, including Metals & Mining.
• Build and analyse financial models and valuations.
• Prepare client presentations, board materials and marketing documents.
• Conduct detailed industry, company and market analysis.
• Work closely with senior bankers, clients and external advisers throughout transactions.

The firm has a highly regarded global franchise across the Materials sector, with a strong track record of advising on high-profile and complex transactions. The team covers a broad range of subsectors, including Metals & Mining, Chemicals, Building Materials and other industrial materials, offering exposure to a diverse range of strategic and M&A mandates.

The platform provides strong international deal flow and the opportunity to work alongside experienced senior bankers across complex, often cross-border transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the execution of M&A transactions across the Materials sector, including Metals & Mining.
