Qualifications

• Approximately 4–8 years of relevant experience in VC, operating roles, investment banking or consulting.
• Demonstrable investment judgement and experience evaluating high-growth businesses.
• Experience leading investment processes and transactions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build relationships with founders.

Asset Partners is exclusively mandated by a leading venture capital firm to appoint an Investment Principal to join its London team. The firm invests in ambitious, high-growth technology businesses and is seeking an exceptional individual to take a key role across new investments and the development of its existing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior members of the investment team to evaluate new investment opportunities
• Originate and develop relationships with high-quality start-ups
• Lead the assessment and execution of new investments, including commercial and financial analysis
• Take an active role in transaction processes from initial evaluation through to completion
• Work closely with portfolio companies and management teams on strategic and commercial priorities
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the firm's investment approach and market coverage
• Support and develop junior members of the investment team

Candidate Profile

• Approximately 4–8 years of relevant experience across venture capital, operating roles, investment banking and/or consulting.
• Strong investment judgement and demonstrable experience evaluating high-growth businesses
• Experience leading or playing a significant role in investment processes
• Strong commercial and analytical capabilities
• Comfortable building relationships with founders and management teams
• Experience supporting and developing more junior colleagues
• Strong academic background ideally from a technical degree
• Entrepreneurial, intellectually curious and self-directed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
