Job Description:

We provide specialist inspection, surveying, and investigation services within the built environment. We also provide consultancy services to clients in the public and private sectors. Our department includes a UKAS-accredited laboratory, enabling us to evaluate construction materials and assist clients with detailed assessment reports and guidance.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the central office in receiving and expediting investigation inquiries, including site scoping visits to teach scope clarification and develop client relationships.
  • Assist in preparing proposals and reports.
  • Organize investigation and testing programs; supervise work to ensure timely completion and reporting.
  • Liaise with clients on inspection/testing programs.
  • Control project costs within budgets and review sales and cost estimates.
  • Prepare technical reports maintaining high standards of technical excellence.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers and technicians.
Required experience:
  • Engineering or surveying degree or significant experience.
  • Awareness of health and safety issues.
  • Understanding of defect investigation, materials testing, legislation, and professional advice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong mathematical, technical, and practical skills.
  • Ability to manage projects and lead teams.
  • Full UK driving licence required.

Work involves site and office work, training in railway environments, working at heights and in confined spaces, manual handling, and physical testing. Occasional travel within the UK and overseas is expected.

Salary and benefits:
  • Up to £42,000 depending on experience.
