Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Greenford is seeking an Inventory First Line Manager to lead our inventory team, ensuring accuracy, reducing costs and improving stock availability while supporting operational performance.

This full-time role follows a 5-from-7 shift pattern (08:00–16:00) with rotations to afternoon and night shifts, and offers 33 days annual leave, a company sponsored pension, life assurance and access to our benefits platform.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing, configuring, or supporting Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) within a distribution centre or fulfilment environment.
• Prior Inventory management is essential for the role to hit the ground running.
• Previous experience within food logistics, grocery fulfilment, or e-commerce operations is desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all inventory is managed and counted in accordance with company policies, customer requirements, and audit standards.
• Drive improvements in inventory management and system performance through continuous improvement initiatives and more efficient ways of working.
• Optimise warehouse layouts and system configurations to maximise productivity, efficiency, and operational flow.
• Lead stock reconciliation activities and investigations into significant stock adjustments, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
