Job summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a Wage-Storekeeper Assistant for the Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center in Chesterfield. You will ensure the receipt, storage and distribution of inventory, while maintaining security, sanitation and inventory control procedures.

This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, perform repetitive motions, and use word processing and Excel spreadsheets along with inventory software. Location: 1601 Old Bon Air Road, Chesterfield, VA 23235.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of inventory controls, purchasing practices, food sanitation practices, able to perform basic math skills.
• Ability to follow written instructions and documented procedures; ability to verbally communicate and take direction.
• Self-motivated; demonstrated ability in word processing and Excel spreadsheets, and inventory control software; knowledge of basic inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure receipt and storage of BAJCC inventory and manage distribution.
• Maintain compliance with security procedures and inventory control standards.
• Support sanitation and stock distribution processes as required.
