Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Section Manager at their Blyth site in the UK. You will lead a warehouse team, manage stock accuracy and drive improvements while ensuring customer contractual obligations are met in a busy operation.

The role is full-time, permanent with a 5-from-7 shift pattern and hours 09:00–17:00, offering a competitive salary and a broad benefits package.

GXO are looking for an Inventory Section Manager to join our B&Q site in Blyth – S81 8PU. Here you’ll be responsible for managing our customers stock to an agreed accuracy figure and leading your team to achieve business goals: through focussing on continuous improvement and promoting a team-based culture.

This is a full time, permanent position, working an any 5 from 7 day shift pattern, from 09:00 to 17:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Monitor stock and operational activities ensuring that contractual obligations for the customer are achieved and generating solutions for improvement where necessary
• Plan and assist the department in all stock counts and audits of inventory ensuring integrity is maintained at all times
• Communicate with the inventory manager on a day-to-day basis whilst delivering any agreed actions required to keep the operation efficient, including discrepancy resolution and management of customer service issues
• People management including performance management, absence management and development of the team, including coaching and mentoring

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A proven track record as a first line manager within a fast-paced warehouse environment, with a specific focus on stock and inventory
• A strong knowledge of stock management processes including extensive experience of using WMS systems
• Adaptability when working in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment with excellent planning skills
• The ability to take responsibility and demonstrate commitment by leading by example
