Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is seeking an Inventory Section Manager for our Blyth site to lead stock control and a fast-paced team. You will ensure accuracy, drive improvements, and manage daily stock activities within a 09:00-17:00 shift pattern.

The role requires proven first-line management in warehousing, strong stock management knowledge, and the ability to motivate and develop staff in a collaborative environment. 33,000–35,000 GBP per year, 23 days leave, and a supportive benefits package.

GXO are looking for an Inventory Section Manager to join our B&Q site in Blyth - S81 8PU. Here you'll be responsible for managing our customers stock to an agreed accuracy figure and leading your team to achieve business goals: through focussing on continuous improvement and promoting a team-based culture.

This is a full time, permanent position, working an any 5 from 7 day shift pattern, from 09:00 to 17:00.

You'll be paid a salary of between GBP33,000.00 - GBP35,000.00 per annum, you'll also receive 23 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. What you'll do on a typical day:

• Monitor stock and operational activities ensuring that contractual obligations for the customer are achieved and generating solutions for improvement where necessary
• Plan and assist the department in all stock counts and audits of inventory ensuring integrity is maintained at all times
• Communicate with the inventory manager on a day-to-day basis whilst delivering any agreed actions required to keep the operation efficient, including discrepancy resolution and management of customer service issues
• People management including performance management, absence management and development of the team, including coaching and mentoring

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A proven track record as a first line manager within a fast-paced warehouse environment, with a specific focus on stock and inventory
• A strong knowledge of stock management processes including extensive experience of using WMS systems
• Adaptability when working in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment with excellent planning skills
• The ability to take responsibility and demonstrate commitment by leading by example
