Job summary

Henderson Brown Recruitment is seeking a detail‑oriented Stock Controller to sit between production, stock control and systems on site. You’ll ensure stock accuracy, monitor usage, and help fix issues quickly to keep operations smooth.

You’ll work daily with the ERP system, produce simple performance reports, and collaborate with production and warehouse teams to improve processes and reduce waste. This role is ideal for someone progressing in stock control or data‑driven operations.

Qualifications

• Interest in stock control and data analysis.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of lean methods.
• Proficiency with Excel formulas and data reading.

Responsibilities

• Running and organising stock counts (weekly, monthly, annual).
• Making sure stock figures are accurate and fixing any issues.
• Investigating material differences and understanding why they happen.
• Reducing waste by flagging slow‑moving or out‑of‑date materials.
• Producing simple reports on stock and material performance.
• Working closely with production and warehouse teams to keep things on track.
• Using the ERP system daily and supporting others with it.
• Spotting better ways of working and helping improve processes.
• Managing and supporting a Production Administrator
