Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Local Stores Analyst to optimise inventory across our Local Stores network. You will analyse trends, forecast demand, and improve processes, reporting and stock availability.

The role includes depot visits, stakeholder engagement and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and inventory performance. The position offers permanent, full-time hours with a hybrid working pattern, including locations in Thatcham or Glasgow and a base location with 50%

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to interpret complex data and translate insights into practical actions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with ability to build relationships and collaborate to deliver value.
• Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel and Power BI; quick to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Optimise inventory through effective replenishment and stock planning.
• Resolve stock and process issues through root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Support operational delivery through inventory management and stakeholder collaboration.
• Improve stock availability by proactively managing supply constraints and risks.
• Optimise stock distribution across regions to support uninterrupted operations.
• Drive and implement improvements to processes, reporting and performance.
• Support Local Stores and wider Supply Chain improvement initiatives.
