Expeditor - Purchasing Coordinator - South Derbyshire

£35,000 - £40,000 basic + Bonus PLUS brilliant benefits AND career growth!

Fantastic opportunity to join an exciting, growing SME that has doubled in size in the last two years and is on track for even more growth. This role will develop as the business expands, offering career progression. Now market leaders, this business currently has a team of around 30 and has recently expanded premises to accommodate exponential growth and plans for new locations in the UK. This will enhance their market position and support further expansion.

The Role

• Coordinating with suppliers in the UK and China
• Working closely with the team in China to coordinate delivery times and loads
• Managing stock availability to handle workload and orders
• Overseeing containers arriving from China, currently about one per day
• Collaborating with the sales team to forecast and plan future orders
• Liaising regularly with the purchasing team in Ireland
• Updating systems to ensure accurate stock levels, orders, and details
• Proactively managing stock levels within the business
• Driving purchasing coordination and expediting processes for growth
• Implementing improvements to streamline the expediting process

We’re Looking For

• Expediting experience, ideally a couple of years in a similar role
• CIPS qualification is a bonus but not essential
• Strong ability to think on your feet, streamline processes, and manage supplier relationships
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills to build relationships across teams
• Proactive and adaptable mindset, with long-term career potential
